We’ve all been to sushi restaurants before. Whether its been a high class super-expensive sushi bar to a free-for-all sushi buffet, we’ve all tried and know the taste of this amazing delicacy. I’ve had many experiences with sushi before – from getting a stomachache due to bad sushi to tasting the most exquisite caviar filled sushi. However, RA Sushi has been one of the most cost-friendly sushi places I’ve been to.
Ok, so let’s start with the appetizer. This is the garlic edamame that I ordered. To be honest, I wasn’t to keen on this edamame since I’m not a fan of large amounts of garlic, but the waiter was kind enough to give me a sample size first, and let me tell you. It was absolutely DELICIOUS. I would definitely recommend getting this as it isn’t a price cruncher at all and is the BEST edamame that I have ever ordered. *Listen to your waiter – they’re really helpful!*
These sushi rolls are some of the ones I tried. The two on the left and right are both raw so make sure that you are ok with raw fish before you thoroughly indulge. I absolutely LOVE these and they're amazing. Also, the fish here is really clean and well cured so don't worry about food poisoning of any sort (I was slightly worried at first). Everything is very fresh and nice!
These are my favorite two sushi rolls from RA.
The one on the left is called the Viva Las Vegas Roll. It consists of crab and cream cheese rolled in rice and seaweed, lightly tempura battered and topped with spicy tuna, crab mix and sliced lotus root; nished with a sweet eel sauce and spinach tempura bits. Its $13.50 for 6-8 pieces, which is completely affordable for the tastines and flavor of the roll.
The one on the right is called the "RA"ckin' Roll. It consists of crab and cream cheese rolled, lightly tempura battered and topped with guacamole and “RA”ckin’ shrimp; garnished with creamy ginger teriyaki sauce, red beet tempura bits and togarashi. My favorite part of this roll is the crispness of the shrimp with the natural flavor of the sushi underneath. Personally, this one is my FAVORITE and you MUST try it if you come here. It costs $13.25 for 6-8 pieces.
*Both of these are available for happy hour specials.
